Microchipping

Microchipping is a simple procedure that can be done easily in a 15-minute consultation.

All dogs in New Zealand are legally required to be microchipped and you must provide this number to your local council, and we strongly advise it for your cats and rabbits too. Your animal will have their own individual and permanent identification number, this is matched with their personal information and your contact details.

We routinely register all animals we microchip on the NZ Companion Animal Microchip Database. This means if they go missing, they can be quickly reunited with you.
