Getting to know you & your pet
Consultations are routinely 15 minutes long. For complex cases we allow up to 30 minutes for detailed discussion and examination of your pet. Our vet will spend time asking you questions about your pet and listening to your concerns.
We are a small dedicated team and getting to know you and your animals well is extremely important to use. You will be greeted by one of our nursing team in the reception area and then taken through to our warm spacious consulting room.
We like to take the time to make sure your pet feels comfortable. We understand that not every animal is the same and will attempt to make the visit as pleasant as possible for you and your pet.
The consultation process usually involves some initial discussion about your concerns and getting to know your pet. This will be followed with a complete physical exam of the animal, and then a discussion on the physical examination and history findings.
From here, we will discuss with you the options for your pets care and together, we can decide which is the most appropriate plan for you and your pet. Sometimes, further diagnostic tests are required. Sometimes these can be performed on the same day within your consultation, other times your pet may need to stay with us for a few hours or come back at a later date.
